Skin on Frame Kayak Building Classes

We offer weekend classes in building all of our skin on frame kayaks

We offer the Dix 16 and the English Kayak as a 2-day class.

Participants spend two days learning the fundamentals of boat building and return home with a durable ultralight kayak.

Day 1 begins with the construction of the frame and ends with students varnishing the completed skeleton of the kayak.

Day 2 is spent covering the kayak . Depending on the paint system chosen the students will either finish painting their kayaks on the second day or do that at home. Classes are formed on demand so call to set up a class.
